I've noticed some people post art pieces that show something with wings that's REALLY small in the picture. This group is supposed to be about the wings, so it should SHOW the wings clearly!
If the focus is on something with wings (and the wings are showing), I may allow it, even if small. Just can't be a speck on the screen!
Examples of what is okay and not okay:
www.birds.com/wp-content/uploa… NOT OKAY! (wings aren't really shown)
www.hgsitebuilder.com/files/wr… VERY OKAY! (this is what the group prefers)
media1.santabanta.com/full1/Na… NOT OKAY! (the wings aren't defined here at all)
blog.lib.umn.edu/stoe0062/psy_… OKAY! (you can see the wings clearly here)
cache.desktopnexus.com/thumbna… NOT OKAY! (just because it HAS wings doesn't mean it's allowed! THE WINGS MUST SHOW!
good-wallpapers.com/wallpapers… IT PASSES! (since the focus is on the bird, it's okay)
upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia… NOT OKAY! (you can't even see the wings, unlike the last example)
www.twitterevolutions.com/bgs/… OKAY! (again, it shows the wings and focuses on them, even if they are small)
Examples from my own work:
NOT OKAY! The birds are NOT the focus and are a very small part of the piece.
OKAY! Wings are shown enough here.
PASSES! It may not show exactly 1/2 of the wings, but they are a focal point, so it counts! SHOULDN'T BE LESS THAN THIS, THOUGH!
NOW NOT OKAY! It's only showing the arms of the wings, so it doesn't count. It has to show the actual wings! Not just the arms!
